The Model MBD is our specially engineered motorized damper. Its design allows it to be used in either an exhaust or intake system. The damper blade pivots in the middle, which makes it easier to open, by balancing the positive and negative pressure on both sides of the blade. Traditional motorized dampers have blades that pivot from the top, forcing the motor to work harder because they have to overcome the negative pressure of an intake application. The advantage to the center pivot blade is the increased life expectancy of the motor. The design also gives the damper a high free area.
